Easter 2007
Whilst most people go away for Easter, we prefer to stay at home. This Easter we had family from Adelaide come up and visit us. We then took them around the tourist sites in the Riverland.
On Friday we drove to Renmark (20kms approx) and enjoyed a short walk along the riverbank. I took some photos of the ducks and a pelican. After this we crossed the Paringa Bridge and visited Lock 5 before returning to Berri.
Saturday was a quiet day with a BBQ in the afternoon with some of our friends.
Sunday morning we drove to Loxton (25kms approx) and had a look at “The Tree of Knowledge” where the flood levels have been reported. I can’t comprehend just how much water must have been around looking at the 1956 plaque. As we drove further down the track we were surprised by just how many people were camping on the riverbank.
We then took a leisurely drive to Kingston-on-Murray and I took some photos from the Kingston-on-Murray lookout before driving through Barmera on our way back to Berri.
Early on Monday our family left to return to Adelaide hoping to avoid the rush later on in the day.

Why Ramblin’ On
Ramblin' On is what we like to do! So we thought it apt to use as the name for our blog.
