I knew I’d seen those symbols somewhere else – just needed to work out where and then work out what the symbols had to do with caching. Freddo is a very mischievous frog! I needed to phone a friend to confirm GZ was correct. The previous finder added a further two stars to the degree of difficulty in how they replaced the cache. Hopefully the next finder will find it a little easier than I did. TFTC Freddo.

*FTF* Our main reason for travelling so far today was to drive by Lock 7, Lock 8 and Lock 9. We took the old Mail Road out of Paringa and followed it turning off to get to Lock 7 and Lock 8. We were surprised no-one has logged this cache as there is quite a little community nearby. We ended up on the wrong side of a locked gate but a 300 metre walk enabled us to log the find. TFTC.

Nothing like a nice Saturday afternoon drive showing visitors some of the Riverland sights. I knew we were closing in on the cache so turned on the GPSr and found ourselves less than 500 metres – we where then on a mission to find this cache. Hopefully nearby muggle campers weren’t interested in what we were doing. Thanks Lizards for another great cache.

Once again thank you Lizards with Latitude for bringing us to a location we haven’t previously been to. We were a little hesitant attempting the cache given the recent rains and the likelihood of a slippery track, however it wasn’t to bad and we easily located the cache and logged our find. TFTC.

Great weather, great location, great company.
It looks like we’ve overwhelmed the establishment as lunch did take quite some time to prepare. Thanks to Crane2 for your company. Who would’ve thought two Riverlanders side by side 200kms from home!!

Having picked up our new 4WD earlier this week, we believed this cache was the perfect opportunity to give the 4WD a bit of a go off road. When we found the start of the track we hoped this would be a relatively easy drive to GZ. As we progressed down the track the track conditions changed and we drove through 500mtrs of bull dust to then drive a further 10kms or so over numerous minor hills with intermittent sand drifts along the way before reaching GZ. We drove using just 2WD in our 4WD. I wouldn’t like to do this cache in a brand new 2WD just in case! We easily located the cache and logged our find. A SILVER to Jardry. TFTC.
